CHANGES to LPG subsidy schemes

Both the Federal Government and the Western Australian State Government have recently announced changes to the LPG subsidy schemes, effective from July 1 2009.

LPG Conversions
For registered vehicles converted to LPG

  Current subsidy Subsidy from July 1, 2009
WA scheme $1000 0
Federal scheme $2000 $1750 - $1000, dependent on date of conversion


New LPG Vehicles
For purchase of a new vehicle fitted with LPG before first registration
  Current subsidy Subsidy from July 1, 2009
WA scheme $1000 0
Federal scheme $2000 No change
